Raymond Yim received his B.Eng. and M.Eng. from McGill University in Canada, and Ph.D.from Harvard University in 2006. He is currently an assistant professor in electrical and computer engineering at F. W. Olin College of Engineering. He has previously worked at the High Capacity Transport group in Nortel Networks, and at the Digital Communications & Networking Group in Mitsubishi Electric Research Laboratory (MERL). His recent research has focused on the design of distributed protocols that enable cooperative communications, as well as distributed reverse-link rate control alogirithms in IS-856 CDMA systems. His research interests include cross-layer design for wireless networks, distributed control and resource allocation in ad-hoc and sensor networks, large-scale networks, pricing and multi-user information theory.
