Assessment Policy
Problem Sets (9%): Due on Wednesdays at 5:00pm. They are graded in two dimensions: technical competency with five quantized values (W, V, ~, ^, M), and behavioral competency with three quantized values (+, [nothing], -). Late submission is
accepted at the cost of behavioral grade.
Exams (3x15%): 3-4 hours take home exams. You can use any tools and any materials except solutions to problem sets or exams of this course (including those given out in previous semesters). Late submission will be penalized at a rate of 3dB/day including weekends.
AM Lab (8%): Students are required to demonstrate their system, and participate in an in-class oral quiz.
DT Lab (18%): Students are required to present the circuit to the class, and answer any questions from the audience.
Design Challenge (20%): Two design reviews and two competitions will be held during the semester.
Final Exam Replacement ([15%]): Students can opt to replace the final exam by an elaborate project. The project must be designed such that the materials it generates will benefit the future offering of this class.
