Stephen Schiffman is dean of the undergraduate program
at Babson College in Wellesley, Mass. A faculty member in Mathematics and
MIS since 1986, he is also the architect of the new undergraduate curriculum,
which was launched in the fall of 1996. In 1997, the Pew Charitable Trusts
recognized this effort by selecting Babson for a Pew Leadership Award for
renewal of undergraduate education. Steve holds a Ph.D. in mathematics from
Dartmouth College as well as an M.S. in management from Sloan School, MIT.
He has taught at the University of Colorado and Colorado College, and, prior
to joining Babson College, he worked at Digital Equipment Corporation. |
