At Olin College I often teach our course, Transport Phenomena, which provides and introduction to fluid dynamics and heat transfer. Over the years I have developed my own set of notes and lectures for this course. The book which is linked below is the required text for the students. I aim to continually update and improve upon these materials every time I teach the course. The level for the course is aimed at third year engineering undergraduates and assumes that the student is familiar with vector calculus.

In 2018 I did a fairly significant edit from the previous versions. In addition to these numerous changes, I also created a shorter "Fluids Only" version. The Fluid Dynamics and Fluid Dynamics and Heat Transfer books are largely the same, only the fluids only version is shorter and a little more focused.
